Moss Bath Mat

clipped from www.re-nest.com

Moss Bathmat Feels Good, Looks Great

Its designer, Nguyen La Chanh, from Switzerland, says the mat is very relaxing and needs little care. She said: "The idea was to find a new way of having your plants inside."

Miss Nguyen is looking for financial backing so she can mass produce the mat for less than the £220 it cost her to make.

This bathroom mat starts with an imputrescible foam called plastazote. Several types of moss are implanted in the cells of foam (a total of 70 pieces measuring 2.4 in. each) and live happily there as long as you shower often enough to get keep it moist while you towel off.

tree photos by myoung ho lee

'tree' photographs by myoung ho lee.

'the young korean artist, has produced an elaborate
series of photos that pose some unusual questions
about representation, reality, art, environment and
seeing. simple in concept, complex in execution.
myoung makes the viewer look at a tree in its natural
surroundings, but separates the tree artificially from
nature by presenting it on an immense white
background'.
